Gaston’s pumpkin pasta is rich, creamy and surprisingly easy. Layers of cheese ravioli are smothered in a savory pumpkin cream sauce. This recipe was featured on our Disney Villain’s Halloween Party.
Gaston's Pumpkin Pasta
Makes 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 ½ cups heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cups Parmesan cheese, grated (divided)
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 pounds frozen cheese ravioli
Instructions:
- Make Ravioli – Cook cheese ravioli according to package instructions. Set aside.
Make Sauce – Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Add minced garlic and saute until soft and fragrant. Add cream and pumpkin. Simmer until slightly thickened. Add ½ cup Parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Season with nutmeg and salt & pepper to taste.
3. Assemble Casserole – Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter the bottom and sides of a 9×13 inch casserole. Add half the sauce to the bottom of the pan. Add ravioli and top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
4. Bake Casserole – Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and cheese is melted.
