These cupcakes are far from poisonous but the sugary coating makes them look magical! Make these beautiful cupcakes using our easy tutorial. These cupcakes were featured on our Snow White dinner menu but are perfect for an autumn or apple-themed party.
Poison Apple Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 12 cupcakes (we like Sally’s Baking Addiction’s Apple Spice Cupcakes)
- 3 cups cream cheese frosting (we like Sally’s Favorite Cream Cheese Frosting)
- Red food dye
- Red sanding sugar
- 12 small pretzel sticks
- Green fondant
Equipment
- Frosting bag with large round tip
- Leaf Fondant Mold
Instructions
1. Dye cream cheese frosting red and beat well until the color is thoroughly blended. Fill the prepared frosting bag and pipe frosting on top of the cupcake to create a two-inch tall frosting dome.
2. Using a knife, smooth frosting dome.
3. Carefully roll the dome in red sanding sugar completely covering.
4. Add a pretzel rod to create a stem. Roll out fondant ¼” thick and cut out leaf shapes using a mold. Add a leaf to each cupcake next to the stem.
