These yummy honey bee cupcakes are the bee’s knees! Fluffy vanilla cake is topped with rich cream cheese frosting, drizzled with honey and topped with an adorable candy bee. These cupcakes were featured on our Winnie the Pooh Picnic. We think these cupcakes are sweet enough to satisfy even Pooh’s sweet tooth.

Honey Bee Cupcakes
Makes 12 cupcakes
Ingredients
- 12 vanilla cupcakes {We like this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction}
- 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese
- 1 stick unsalted butter (½ cup), softened to room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 cups confectioners sugar
- Wilton Buttercup Yellow Icing Color
- Honey
- Candy Bees
Instructions:
1. Make frosting – Beat the cream cheese, softened butter and vanilla in a medium bowl until combined and smooth. You can either use a stand mixer or hand mixer. Gradually add confectioners sugar and mix until completely combined. Feel free to add more or less confectioners sugar to achieve your desired consistency. Color the frosting using gel coloring if desired.
2. Decorate cupcakes – Frost the cupcakes using your favorite round tip. Drizzle with honey and top with a candy bee.
