Sanderson Sisters Caramel Apples
Makes 6 apples
Ingredients:
6 Caramel Apples
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup Heath Toffee Bits
1/2 cup each of red, green, and purple candy melts
Instructions:
- Dip the bottom half of 2 apples in toffee bits. Gently press bits into the caramel to coat evening. Repeat the process with two more apples in mini chocolate chips and the last two apples in chopped pecans. Set the apples on a piece of waxed paper.
2. Pour each color of candy melts in 3 medium microwave-safe bowls. Melt each according to package directions. Pour each color of candy melts into its own piping bag fitted with a small round tip.
3. Carefully pipe large loops of melted candy melts onto the top half of the apples. We chose to pair red candy melts with pecans to represent Mary, green candy melts with chocolate chips to represent Winifred, and purple candy melts with toffee bits to represent Sarah.
