Plaza Loaded Fries
Ingredients:
Cheese Sauce
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup whole milk
- ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Salt & pepper to taste
Loaded Fries
- 1 lb. Frozen French Fries
- ½ cup iceberg lettuce, finely sliced
- ½ cup tomato, diced
- ¼ cup crisp bacon, crumbled
- ¼ cup Ranch dressing
- ¼ cup cheese sauce {see recipe below}
Instructions:
1. Make fries – Cook fries according to package directions.
2. Make cheese sauce – In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook, whisking continuously until golden in color. Slowly pour in milk, whisking continuously until thickened, 3 to 4 minutes. Add cheese, ¼ cup at a time, stirring until melted. Continue until all cheese has been used and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Assemble – Arrange fries on a serving platter. Top with lettuce, tomato, and bacon. Drizzle with Ranch dressing and cheese sauce.
