This Neapolitan milk shake is inspired by the one served at Flo’s V8 Cafe in Cars Land. Creamy chocolate, strawberry and vanilla milkshake is layered in an old fashioned soda fountain glass. The shakes are topped with whipped cream, “road gravel” (a.k.a. oreo bits), and topped with a cherry. This treat was served on our Cars movie night.
Flo's V8 Neapolitan Milkshake
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup cold whole milk
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup
- Whipped cream
- Crushed Oreo cookies
- Cherry
- Flo’s V8 Stir Sticks from Bring Home Magic
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the ice cream and milk in a blender. Blend until smooth. Leave one-third of the mixture in the blender and pour remaining mixture equally into two glasses. Set aside.
- Add chocolate syrup to milkshake mixture in blender. Blend. Pour into a clean glass and set aside. Rinse blender and add one glass of the remaining vanilla mixture to the blender. Add strawberry syrup and blend. Pour into a glass and set aside. You should have three glasses of milkshake in each of the three flavors.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into your favorite glass and place in the freezer for approximately one hour. Place all the strawberry and vanilla mixtures in the freezer until it’s time to assemble. After one hour, spoon the strawberry mixture over the chocolate milkshake mixture. Put back into the freezer for another hour. Finally spoon the vanilla mixture over the strawberry. Top with whipped cream, sprinkle with Oreo bits, and add a cherry. Enjoy!
