Mickey Charcuterie Board
Ingredients
- Variety of Cheeses & Meats: We cut a Mickey shape from a round of brie using a cookie cutter. Sliced salami was used to make roses. We filled in open spaces with sliced Swiss, but any hard cheese would be delicious.
- Breads & Crackers: Assorted crackers and sliced baguette
- Fresh Fruits: We chose green grapes, sliced Bartlett pears, and Granny Smith apples
Instructions
1. Cut out a Mickey shape from a round of brie using a Mickey cookie cutter. We used a 3″ cookie cutter. Place in the center of the board.
2. Arrange grapes, apples, and pears on each corner of the board.
3. Using a clean glass milk bottle, place sliced meat over the rim of the glass. Add slices staggering so they overlap each other. I typically use 3 or 4 slices of meat for the first layer. Repeat a second layer and continue the process until you are happy with the fullness of the rose. On a cutting board, flip the milk bottle over so the meat is on the board. Note: you can also use a champagne flute or wine glass if you’d like a larger rose. Place on either side of the Mickey brie.
4. Add sliced cheese, crackers, and sliced baguette in open areas.
5. If desired, cut Mickey shapes out of sliced cheese and set them atop the grapes. Garnish with fresh sage if desired.
