Cinderella Glass Slipper Cookies
Makes 2 dozen cookies
COOKIE INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (2 sticks butter), room temperature
- 1 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
COOKIE INSTRUCTIONS
- Make cookie batter – In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla extract and milk or cream. Cream well. Sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture. Shape mixture into a flat disk and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.
2. Bake cookies – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove dough from refrigerator, unwrap, and place on a floured surface. Roll to ½ inch thickness and cut out glass slipper shapes. Place cookies on a prepared baking sheet 3 inches apart. Sprinkle with iridescent sugar and gold star sprinkles. We like this Pixie Dust mix. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
