This strawberry mango layered smoothie is as beautiful as it is refreshing. With vibrant pink strawberry blended against golden mango, each glass feels bright and full of sunshine. It’s a simple recipe, but the layered presentation makes it feel special enough for brunch, showers, or a themed morning gathering.
For our Winnie the Pooh breakfast, we served these smoothies in stemless wine glasses embellished with removable vinyl clings created on our Cricut featuring Pooh’s sweet facial details. The clear glass allows the layered colors to shine, while the subtle character touch adds charm without overwhelming the table. Naturally sweet and packed with fruit, this smoothie is a healthy option that still feels festive and thoughtfully styled.
Strawberry Mango Layered Smoothie
Serves 4
Ingredients
Mango Layer
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 2 cups frozen mango
- 1 banana, sliced
- ½ cup vanilla yogurt
- ¾ cup orange juice, plus more if needed
- 1 tablespoon honey
Strawberry Layer
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- ¼ cup vanilla yogurt
- ¼ cup milk, plus more if needed
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Prepare the Mango Layer: Place the mango layer ingredients into a blender in the order listed. Blend until completely smooth and thick. If the smoothie is too thick to blend properly, add a small amount of additional orange juice, one tablespoon at a time, until smooth but still spoonable. Set aside.
- Prepare the Strawberry Layer: Rinse and dry the blender if needed. Add the strawberry layer ingredients in the order listed and blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk while blending until it reaches a thick but creamy consistency.
- Assemble the Smoothies: Spoon the mango smoothie into the bottom of four glasses, filling each about one-third full. Gently spoon a layer of strawberry smoothie on top, being careful not to pour too quickly. Finish with another layer of mango smoothie.
Note: For clean, distinct layers, briefly freeze each layer for 5–10 minutes before adding the next. Garnish with a fresh strawberry if desired and serve immediately.
Creating Pooh-Embellished Glasses
Download the Pooh facial graphics file from Etsy. We only used the eyes, eyebrows, and nose.
Upload the file to your Cricut Design Space and size it to fit your glass.
Cut the design using black adhesive vinyl.
Carefully weed the design, removing excess vinyl and keeping Pooh’s facial features intact.
Wash and thoroughly dry your stemless wine glasses before applying the design.
Use tweezers to gently position and press the vinyl onto the glass, smoothing out air bubbles as you go.
These vinyl clings are removable; gently peel off after use for easy cleanup.
- Using clear stemless wine glasses allows the layered smoothie colors to shine, while the subtle Pooh detailing adds charm without overwhelming your table.
This strawberry mango layered smoothie proves that healthy can still feel beautiful. With its bright color contrast and naturally sweet flavor, it’s a refreshing addition to any brunch spread or themed breakfast. Served in embellished stemless glasses, it becomes more than just a drink – it’s a detail that brings your table to life. Whether paired with a Winnie the Pooh-inspired celebration or enjoyed on a quiet morning at home, this smoothie adds a burst of sunshine to the day.
