⅓ cup sour cream
⅓ cup chopped green onions
8 oblong sandwich rolls
1 pound sliced deli turkey
1 pound sliced sharp cheddar or pepper jack cheese
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
2 ripe avocados, sliced
8 romaine lettuce leaves, washed and trimmed
3 slices white cheese (such as provolone or mozzarella)

Directions

Make the sandwich spread: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped olives, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Stir in the mayonnaise, sour cream, and green onions until well blended. Set aside.
Assemble the sandwiches: Slice the sandwich rolls lengthwise and place them cut-side up on a cutting board. Spread both sides generously with the olive mixture. Layer with turkey, sliced cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and romaine lettuce. Close the sandwiches gently.
