Puppy Love Sundaes
Makes 4
Ingredients
- 1 batch of baked brownies, cooled (we love the Ghiradelli Double Chocolate brownies)
- 4 scoops cookies & cream ice cream
- 6 fresh strawberries
- Chocolate syrup, warmed slightly for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the Brownie Base – Bake your favorite brownie recipe in an 8×8-inch pan and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, transfer to a cutting board.
- Cut the “Bones” – Using a 3-4 inch bone-shaped cookie cutter, cut four bone shapes from the brownies. Place each brownie bone onto a small serving plate.
- Prepare the Strawberry Hearts – Remove the tops from the strawberries and slice them lengthwise. Using a mini heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out small strawberry hearts for the puppy’s eyes and nose.
- Assemble the Sundaes – Add a scoop of ice cream just below the base of each brownie bone to create the “face.” Place two strawberry hearts above the scoop for eyes and one heart in the center for the nose. Drizzle gently with warm chocolate syrup.
- Serve immediately while the ice cream is perfectly scoopable and the brownies remain soft.
Note: These desserts are for human consumption and are not intended as pet treats. If you’re looking for dog-safe recipes, be sure to consult your veterinarian.
These Puppy Love Sundaes are proof that dessert can be both comforting and creative. With rich chocolate brownies, creamy gelato, and bright strawberry details, they bring just the right amount of whimsy to a celebration. Whether you’re hosting a puppy-themed party, a Valentine gathering, or simply surprising your family with something sweet, this playful dessert is sure to steal the show.
